How did you come to Spadework?
Through LinkedIn and with the help of friends. I once went to have lunch with some study friends and immediately felt a great connection. The atmosphere, the people – I really liked it. At that moment, I thought: 'I want to work here'. And so it happened!
What is your favorite AI development?
Bag of Words. Love that shit, man. It's really amazing how they came up with that. It's the foundation of NLP, which ultimately led to technologies like ChatGPT. And that's how AI became well-known to the general public. Without Bag of Words, there would be no revolution in language models – and that's just epic.
What makes Jochem, Jochem?
I am a true 'jack of all trades'. I teach yoga classes, just went to Chile, and participated in the National Nunchaku Championship. You name it, I can do it. But despite all those things, I remain humble.
What is your favorite workplace?
All of us in the same space. Nice open communication through the monitors. The openness here is great, direct communication just works best. Love that shit.
