Introducing Spadework 2.0: Agents
Overview
Spadework 2.0 is live today. It is the biggest update we have shipped, and it changes what Spadework is about.
You probably know us from the CV-Transformer. That is where we started. But the longer we worked with recruitment teams, the clearer it became that the real problem sat a layer deeper. Not in formatting CVs, but in the quality of the database underneath them. So that is what we built on next, and the Up-to-databaser came out of it. Get the data right first, automate second.
That order is paying off now. Because once your database holds up, something becomes visible that was hidden before: the opportunities already sitting in your own network. That is what the agents are for.
Spadework 2.0 is Spadework in a new shape. Everything we have built so far now lives in agents. An agent watches one thing and flags the moment it moves. A candidate updating their profile. A contact starting somewhere new. An organisation you follow posting fresh vacancies.
The agents
Profile Enrichment, keeps profiles complete and current
Job Change Monitor, a heads-up when someone you know changes jobs
Vacancy Sync, new vacancies from the organisations you follow, in your own system
Opportunity Intelligence, every movement weighted and ranked
Custom Agents, build an agent around a question of your own
Not all of this is new. The CV-Transformer stays exactly where it is and works the way you know it. The rest of what you already knew from us carries on too, no longer as a separate tool but as an agent you set up yourself. What is genuinely added: there are new agents in the mix, and you can now build one of your own around a question only your agency has. You can start from scratch and build an agent yourself, or start with one we recommend and shape it around the way your agency works.
How it reaches your team
Only your admin works inside Spadework. Everyone else stays in your own ATS, so nobody has to learn a new tool.
An opportunity arrives as a note on the record, as a task for the account owner, or as a single morning email holding only that person's opportunities. On a quiet day, nothing lands.
Nothing goes out that you didn't switch on. You can instruct an agent to reach out on its own, but that is a switch you flip, not a default.
Your next placement is already in your database.
