At Spadework, we build AI tools that make recruitment smarter and more efficient. We are a young, fast-growing scale-up in Amsterdam and are at the beginning of international growth. Our products are used daily by recruiters and hiring teams, and a strong user experience plays a crucial role in this.
Therefore, we are looking for a UI/UX Designer who helps take the product's visual and functional aspects to the next level. In this role, you will not only determine how Spadework looks, but also how it feels to work with.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you are responsible for the complete user experience of the platform, from the initial concept to the pixel-perfect execution. You translate product goals and user needs into concrete solutions and ensure that the product feels logical, pleasant, and efficient for the user.
You work daily on intuitive flows and interfaces for a web-based SaaS product. You create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and use tools like Figma (or similar) to develop your ideas. You know how to distill complex functionality into clear UX design solutions with clear UI design patterns.
You collaborate closely with developers and founders to ensure that your designs are well implemented in the product. Together, you discuss user journeys, interactions, and design choices, and you maintain the visual style and consistency of the platform. Because you work in a fast-growing environment, priorities can change quickly, and no week is the same.
What we are looking for
Experience as a UI/UX Designer, UX Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar design role
Proficient in Figma or a similar design and prototyping tool
You think in a structured way, work user-centered (user-centered design), and apply design thinking where needed
You can clearly justify and explain your designs to non-designers
You work independently, take initiative, and feel a sense of ownership over your designs
Experience with SaaS, B2B products, or AI/tech is a plus, but not a must
