Contacts get a new role, a new team, a different responsibility. Nobody passes that on, and nobody updates thousands of contacts by hand.
An account manager who calls with an outdated job title starts the conversation with a correction. If the record is right, you start with the conversation.
New contact information, straight into your ATS
When something on the profile changes, the agent updates it in your ATS. Only what is new, the rest stays as it is.
When it triggers: for all contacts, when a profile update arrives, including the first snapshot.
Keep profile data current: compare the update with the stored profile. Use Update profile fields only for supported values that are missing or changed. Role and employer come from the most recently started position without an end date. Never invent values.
Keep the contact current: read the record with Retrieve the contact record and update missing or outdated fields with Update contact fields. The company on the contact stays unchanged: an employer move is a lead for the Contact Lead Detector. If the record already matches, nothing is written. No feed post.

Profile comes in
Always on. It checks whether there is new information on the profile, including the first time.
Contact details updated
Only when something differs. If something changed, the latest contact details are in your ATS.
What it leaves alone
Only new information. That is what it writes over, the rest stays as it is. If someone moves to a new employer, or something else interesting happens, the Contact Lead Detector posts it.
What is already right stays as it is. It only fills in what the profile says, in your ATS wording. If everything is already correct, nothing happens.
